New Room Bristol

Construction on the Horsefair Project will commence in January 2016 and continue until Spring 2017. In preparation for this work, the Charles Wesley statue has already gone into storage although it will return as it is an integral part of the new development.
Whilst building work is ongoing, there will be no access to the New Room via the Horsefair Courtyard and there will be no public toilet facilities available. The side alley which runs alongside the New Room connecting the two courtyards will also be closed.
However, please note the New Room chapel will be open throughout the build. Access to the chapel and museum will be through the Broadmead Courtyard although, as construction progresses, there will be days when access is restricted and we will provide as much advance notice of this as we can. In Autumn 2016, the museum will close in order to allow the design team to transform this space into the expanded museum which will also reopen in Spring 2017.
We will post progress updates on this site as well as the New Room Facebook and Twitter pages. If you have any queries, please contact us.
